Possible ebay steal

I don't know much about Gibsons, except that earlier models tend to be worth alot and are considered great mandos. There's still like 6 days left on this auction, but is this a good Gibson worthy of bidding on?

well, it looks pretty nice, but you never know on ebay. people that don't know mandos can miss alot in desciptions. has the top arch fallen at all? is it really structurally sound? i'd personally feel alot better about it if he said he'd taken it to someone, rather that just calling someone on the phone.
usually, good stuff like old gibson mandolins get bid up to their market value in the last few hours of the auction. there are alot of folks looking for them on ebay. there's also alot of nice looking old gibson a's on the classifieds here and at reputable dealers who know mandolins. that's where i'd look for one.
