Found this beauty at Elderly in 1998 and the most wonderful wife asked my favorite question..."Why don't you just buy it?" It started with unison strings, but I had my luthier set it up more bouzouki style with octave strings on both bass courses. He also added the pick-guard where I was scratching into the top a bit...the sound is full and bright and the sustain is for days...A real player's instrument, I don't use anywhere near the capabilities of this fine instrument.

Oh man, that's a beautiful instrument!
What are the tonewoods?
Congratulations on that one.

Spruce top, Arizona Mesquite back and sides...fingerboard is rosewood, I think.

Made by Bill Bussman of Old Wave Mandolins in New Mexico.

Nice OWOM, there should be a social group but I'm not sure what the function of the social groups are, I belong to a few and cannot figure it out. Please excuse my digression... Anyway, she's a fine looking amalgam of wood built by an equally fine gentleman, thanks for sharing.
