Is it just me, or does he hold the mandolin in a peculiar way?

I love the way Bobby "is" with the mandolin. He never beats it, never overplays, chops only when he feels like it/when it's needed, sometimes only 1 or 2 bars.

He is marvy.

I gotta love the facial hair and the bold polka-dots.

Here's another classic, looks like from the same show :mandosmiley:

I do believe that is Blain Sprouse on the fiddle, he pretty much got his start here in my area when he was just a teenager, I picked some with him and Lucky Saylor many years ago at the old Beltsville Tavern, Lucky would send him bus fare to get here from his home , I believe it was Martinsburg W.Va.......a great fiddle player...We made so much money he didn`t miss the bus fare, YEAH, RIGHT...Willie

I took these pictures of Bobby O in June at Bean Blossom. Yes, he grips the pick differently and wears a hole in the finish with his pinky. Different mandolin here. :mandosmiley:

And what may the price of one be?

Probably the best thing to do is to contact Don himself with this type of question.

And what may the price of one be?

For the three F's $20,000

He also has an A with a Calton Case for $7,000.00 that is voiced from the 1925.

My 22 is voiced like Crusher and sound the same as the F.
