Sawchyn rosette

This is a close up of the rosette on my Sawchyn. There must be a dictionary of these designs somewhere, it's interesting all the flourishes that have been given to mandolins.

Great rosette and a beautiful oval hole A style instrument. Also like the cupid inlay on the headstock. The king salmon is impressive, too!

Peter's work is always no less than excellent. He makes beautiful instruments that sound and play as good as they look. Very nice.
