This Rhonda Vincent song (Is The Grass Any Bluer)that a friend is trying to learn by ear has us all stumped. She has all the words down and every cord with the exception of 2.

The song is done in the key of D. In the chorus there is an Em
and the next 2 chord are the problem. If I remember it goes to a D after these 2 chords.

Any help here?

I've got the Woodsongs show where they played it. On there, they played it in E. The chorus is E...A...F#m...B7...E

In D, of course it would be D...G...Em...A7...D

Here's what I have:

B A B
You rolled out of Rosine a dedicated man,
A B
You drove those country backroads to a thousand one night stands.
E
The music from your mandolin spread like wildfire in the wind,
B
And echoed through the hollows and the hills.
A B
So tell me Bill?

Chorus:
E A
Is the grass any bluer on the other side?
B E
Did it look like old Kentucky when the gates swung open wide?
A
Bet the good Lord's got you playin' somehwere up there evry night.
B E
Is the grass any bluer on the other side?

But then this is off the internet so YMMV. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
