I want to thank everyone who gave me advice about The Loar mandolins. I just received mine from the Mandolin Store (Wickenburg, AZ). The mandolin was set up and I received a hardshell case with the mandolin at no additional cost.
The Mandolin is beautiful and feels good in my hands. The sound is great too.
Thank you all for your advice!

Pictures please (one of those unwritten forum rules) just kidding, we do however like to have new mandolins to drool over. Good luck with her I'm sure she will bring you many hours of picking pleasure I speak from first hand experience. So much Mandolin for such a great price. :mandosmiley::grin:

I just picked up the same model, and I am very happy with it so far... though it's my first mandolin and mandolin experience so I also don't have much to compare it too :) In another week or two after I have a little bit better of an understanding of the fretboard and am comfortable with a tune or two I'll hit up the Denver Folklore Center or the Pickin' Parlor and try out some other models and brands of mando... I understood GAS... but now comes the MAS... scary :)
