One comment, every time I show friends the headstock graphic, they say that the bear looks like me, squinty eyes and a grin.

Just would like to add one comment. The instrument is a bit smaller than it looks in the pictures. It is not as large as an archtop guitar even though it looks like one. It is much lighter than an archtop also. As opposed to my Weber "Octar" which was really a guitar body strung up OM, this instrument is scaled down. When I first picked it up, I was concerned that it might be a bit light on the bass end. Not at all the case. This instrument feels just right all the way through the scale. I have had the instrument for 5 days and have not picked up another instrument in that time. For me, that is unheard of.

Congratulations Tony! What a beauty.
Could you maybe post a picture of the GOM alongside a mandolin so we'd have a better perspective of scale?
Enjoy!

Stunning. And you will be posting sound clips so we can all experience GOM-MAS, right?

Mark, working on it. Been sick for the past week. Have a tune or two that I plan to record for you guys that should demonstrate this baby's qualities.
