A most beautiful and excellent family if ever I saw one. BTW, how is the LM700 treating you?

The back and front on the mandolin sure are beautiful.

Any more recordings of it lately?

Very well. Very well, indeed. I've yet to experiment with different strings and I want to go to a music shop and play on a few other mandolins and see if I want to do anything about the neck, but if I do anything, it will probably just be sanding it down and leaving the neck naked for a quicker feel. Sound-wise I'm very pleased with it. I never feel as though it's lacking anything when I play along with videos or recordings of other artists and it's got good volume.

I shot a video of my own arrangement of Tears For Fears' "Mad World" and put it up on youtube. It's just me and the mando, though, so it's pretty stripped down. I'm going to record a full version with multiple mandolins and maybe some guitar once I get a nice mic. I'm also working on some stuff of my own on both the mandolin and my Washburn 12 string. Again, everything is very basic and stripped down right now because I'm just in the starting phases. Songwriting has always been somewhat difficult for me.
