I need a good mandolin luthier to do some set up (maybe a new nut) and install a K&K pickup for me. Can you suggest a good shop (trusted, reasonably quick, and reasonably affordable), either between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, or that I can send it to through the mail? Thanks

Jill... we do this all the time. We have instruments shipped to us from all over the world. Our turnaround is pretty quick. To do a setup, nut and K&K ( I usually have them in stock) only takes a few days turn around time. I am happy to help if I can. You can PM me for any questions.

You really just need to let Joe handle it. He and his shop are true professionals and you'll be absolutely satisfied with their work.

Check Gene Rubin's Audio shop in Ventura. Phil Salazar has a fiddle shop there. If they can't help they should be able to recommend someone within your area. My shop is in northern Calif. UPS or FedEx takes a day or two each way.
