I just recieved my blond Collings MF5V last week used from Buddy Miller Music in Cincinnati. First off, they are great to work with, super great packing job, quick service.
Secondly, this is killer mandolin that has no fret wear, awesome tone and volume that seems to get better every day! This was supposedly a NAMM show model having tortoise binding with an ebony pickguard, one-piece back and Elite tuners.
Anyone familiar with this model? I want to know if Waverlies would be an easy upgrade.
(besides the $500) These Elites are bears to turn.
