No direct help, but a suggestion: any music store in your area that does banjo work, may well have a "parts drawer" where brackets, tailpieces, tuners etc. taken from broken instruments are squirreled away, in case needed for a future restoration. I know that Rochester's two or three vintage dealers have such. If there's some such around Santa Rosa, or in the Bay area, might be worth a couple phone calls and a possible visit. A Google search on "Bay area instrument repair" turned up seven possibilities.
