It sounds absolutely stunning. Dark and woody and already very rich. It has a very good bottom end and not a trace of harshness, despite being right out of the box, and it can only get better. It's #16, by the way.

No doubt about it, Jamie is a good, clean, and conscientious builder. Congrats!

Very nice!
What are the specs? woods, finished, radius or flat fingerboard, tone bar or x-braced, etc.

It has a Sitka top and bigleaf maple sides and back, tone bar bracing, and a varnish finish. The fingerboard is slightly radiused, no where near so much as my Rigel A+. I find it very comfortable already. One thing I have noticed is that this mando can be played really hard and it sounds great! It seems to like being driven hard.

That is so beauifull! You are so fortunate . Anyone know of updates as to who has his Piccalo?

The level of craftsmanship that we see on this board is nothing short of excellence, and Jamie's work is a prime example.

Mteresko, who made, or where did you get the strap?

Looks like one of Alan N.'s great kangeroo straps, if I'm not mistaken!

Its a kangaroo strap I bought at Carmel Music (http://www.carmelmusic.com/).

How about one of the headstock? Mr Wiens always does a great job on the inlays.

As far as I know, Pinkham had the Piccalo. There's a couple pictures of him with it floating around on the board, maybe this will work...

That's a wonderful looking instrument; you should be very proud. Nice going! The sunburst shading is really nice.
