I recently purchased this 1937 Mandolin with F Scrolls. I can't seem to find too much information about the style online. It has a serial number of 16300, which should make it a '37. However, I can't find any info on when Martin started the 2-15 style and what it is made out of. Any info on this 2-15 would be appreciated. Thanks!

The 2-15 was first produced in 1936, and had a spruce top and maple back/sides.

I just joined yesterday, and would like to post a question about my Martin 2-20. How'd you find the section for new posts?

You just click on the "Forum" tab. Once there, choose the category that is closest to your topic. There will be another tab that says something along the lines of "Post new Thread." Hope this helps.

This mandolin is being discussed in another thread as well. It is here (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?67886-1937-Martin-w-quot-F-Scrolls-quot).
