Buddies...Buddy Spicher [Archive]

Has anyone heard the musical collaboration of Buddy Spicher and Buddy Emmons....called "Buddies" from the 70s? I was wondering if it had been re-issued on CD, or if someone knows which tunes are on it? I can't seem to find out much if anything about it. Thanks

Amazon lists this album as an LP only...I went to his web site and found it.....

I rmember that - loved it. That goes back to when a friend first turned me on to country music, in the early 1980s. This was released in 1977 on Flying Fish, a folk label in Chicago. I guess that makes these Nashville cats outlaws. ;)

Whose website, Willie? I have had a deuce of a time finding much worthwhile. Buddy Emmons Music (http://www.buddyemmons.com) says it is closed, running out of stock, and the recording is not listed. There are a few LPs at ebay. I found files for download here (http://www.findthatfile.com/index.php?q=buddy) and there may be other sites as well.

Track listing: Autumn Fling / Little Darlin' / Uncle Pen / Magic Swing / Watch What Happens / Joy Spring / Broken Down In Tiny Pieces

If I recall, that last one featured Janie Fricke on vocals.

The thing that makes this session a real treasure for me is Lenny Breau on guitar! Haven't pulled this record out of the box in a while. I'll fix that when I get home from work tonight.

I googled "Buddy Spicher" and on the right side of the page there is an ad for Amazon and it lists some LP`s and CD`s that they have for sale...."Buddies" is quite expensive, they have one used and one new....I sent this before but for some reason it didn`t go through, I hope I didn`t do anything wrong ....

I"ve done a fair amount of poking around the interweb, and I"m pretty sure it is not available on CD. The only hit I got led me to a service that will convert your LP to CD for around $70. And of course you can just buy the LP for much less and do that yourself. ;)
