That's a sharp looking mandolin. Nice Job!
A friendly tip though... we do make a "universal" tailpiece without the Weber "W".

I happened to have that tailpiece layin' around in pieces parts box for awhile so.....used it.

Thanks for the compliment...I do like the way that tp sounds.

I really like the way you bring the recurve around and under the FB extension, and I also really like the way you made the FB extension flow with the recurve. And that's a beautiful burst too!
And just so there isn't any confusion... there's nothing wrong with you using a "W" tailpiece, I just wanted you to know we do offer one without the "W". With a mandolin as nice as that one, you don't want to advertise for someone else. ;)

Very nice mandolin. I clicked on your web site and the link did not take me to a search page.

Thanks . I do have a back pic somewhere before it was finished. Disregard the website link. It is still being constructed and I will have to remove the link until it is actually up later this week. When it is, a sound clip will be there for that instrument.

I'll go along with Brett Byers - Quote " I really like the way you bring the recurve around and under the FB extension, and I also really like the way you made the FB extension flow with the recurve" . Very nicely done indeed, the whole instrument looks stunning !. What a contrast to the (IMHO) hideous,chopped-off-straight fingerboards seen in a few pics.recently posted on here, made by a VERY well known & respected builder,
Gorgeous craftsmanship - Ivan;)

James - your mandolin is a stunner. I have similar recurve on my mandolin and it sounds amazing.
While I like the organic nature of mine (local woods, traditional snakehead, aged finish etc) the FB end/headstock shapes and and figured back certainly make a very classy modern look.
