Finally got out and gigged my Republic Mandolian Nov 5th. First time I've gigged in about 4 years as I've been pretty sick. Anyway, here's a picture of me with my good friend and singer Morgan doing a rendition of "Me and Bobby McGee" on the mandolian.

Nice that you are atcive... I for one would like to hear that Republic of yours. I am a fan of resonators (I have a Recording King) and enjoy mine as a change of pace... Sure wish I could afford a new National though.

The Nationals are nice but way out of my snack bracket. With its adjustable truss-rod I've been able to get the action down super low so it plays extremely nicely. Very unique voice - in a good way. The flat radius on the fretboard is one of the more interesting parts to be used to, but it makes working with a slide extremely easy.
