Scotti, I think the first picture is oriented properly. Look at the door jamb in the background.

Roland left, Clarence right. They were living in the valley, fairly close to the Mayberry set at that time...

Doesn`t Joe Maphis look a lot like the cowboy star Eddie Dean? I think so anyway....Willie

In the Andy clip, that's Leroy Mack with the dobro. He wrote one of my favorite bluegrass songs, "Just To Prove My Love To You".

Correct you are bobbyburns, one of SoCal's finest! ...another Kentucky Colonel. Here's an early pic of them on the Joe Maphis show. Clarence's guitar needs a refinish. :) There's another White in there, too.

I`m not sure if Joe built, or had them built, but there was young fellow that played one of those double neck guitars and he played with the Collins Kids from Calif...That was in the late 50`s I guess, can`t remember his name but he also did some shows with Joe Maphis....Willie

Well this double-headed monster is definitely a Mosrite (see peghead) and judging by the angle of those p/ups and distinctive horns, i'm guessing all of them were Semie's work. Joe's looks early though.
