Thanks. I did do the guitar tracks as well. For recording I use an older Fostex MR-8 digital recorder. I used a MXL 990 microphone (49 bucks from Musicians Friend) ran thru a Art Tube MP preamp (29 bucks).
I'm thinking I want a new, better condenser microphone, but I'm not sure really what I want for recording stuff like this.
