I haven't seen this guy around for a while ... maybe he just served 90 days somewhere and is back out on the streets ...

but the following Manhattan CL ads are fakes, all using images of instruments that were borrowed from elsewhere. Now that this scammer is back at it, you can probably expect to see these same ads on eBay and elsewhere on CL.

Thanks Martin, any reason why $ 1,500. is the majic number? Above that is it a stiffer penalty if caught?

You mean the $1500 Western Union payment I sent some hours ago isn't going to cause that beautiful Doyle Lawson model Gibson to be showing up at my door in a few days?????:)

Looks like only "trois" is still up and running on CL. But this scam artist has been reported to the Internet Crime Center (IC3). Who knows...another 90-days may be in store?!

Here he is selling an A2 on the DC craigslist:

I almost eMailed on that one as well because frankly the ad sounded fairly legit and I've been looking for a nice 20's A. Good thing I ran across this thread.

EDIT: Oh, and a Fern:

You should post those pictures here, or better yet, take a screen shot of the entire ad and upload it for future reference. Looks like a guy I ran off several months ago.
