Gibson A serial numbers

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I can't seem to find how to date my Gibson A frame(No Valentines' jokes, please http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif ). #I'm guessing it's from around 1920, and I have the serial number, but searching Gibson's site for mandolin serial numbers has been a head-ache (found guitar series numbers easily enough...).
I'm probably doing something wrong, but does anyone know a better (quicker) way to find it?

Gordon, I believe that the serial numbers listed on the Gibson web site are for guitars and mandolins. I have a 1921 A1 and I found the serial number series there.

Ah, now I remember what the problem was -- an Adobe download not working well on AOL!
But I got it to download, and she's a 1919 Gibson A.
