Perhaps Jim Garber can chime in on this, is this a Piccolo Mandolin? Seems like a good price if playable.

Sorry if this was a dumb question, to me it looks like the body is out of proportion with the neck and head stock. It is probably just the model from this company.

It's cute. At that price I don't know how you could go too wrong 'cause you know, it's cute.

You shouldn't tempt me with things like this ... I'm attracted to aberrational instruments ... I'm going to go to bed and try to forget about it... ;)

I don't think it is a piccolo:

24 1/4" in Length by 8" Wide by 6" Deep

My piccolo bowlback in under 17.5 inches in length. I think that the Rex mandolin is a standard one. BTW it was made by or for Gretsch.

Thanks Jim, I saw the spec's but the neck to body ratio looked ' off '. If it was made by Gretch that might explain it.
