I am moving to Woodstock and I am hoping to find someone to play with. I won't be there until September, but hoping to find some friends before that!

Thanks,
Brooke

Well, I'm about 1/2 hour away in Cartersville (depending what part of Woodstock you're in). You're on the right side of town for a mix of jams.

I'm in Dallas/Hiram, about 45 minutes from Woodstock.

Welcome to Georgia! Please look up the SEBA (Southeast Bluegrass Association) website and you can find lots of local jams, festivals, etc. It's a good organization and will get you connected quickly with the grassers in your/our area.

You'll want to check out Everetts music barn in Suwanee, Ga. Its a bit of a drive depending on what side of Woodstock your on. Check out their website. www.everettsmusicbarn.com The colder months are "more happening" there. I'm nearby in Gainesville and would say that I'm a bit jealous of folks that live over in the Cobb/ Cherokee county area. A lot of the good weeknight jams seem to be out that way. Welcome !! A couple of data points: there's a bi-monthly jam up the road at the old train station in Holly Springs

and apparently some jamming going on at Red Top Mtn State Park every Saturday

I'm up near the Cumming area.
