I switched from Audacity to Cool Edit but can't figure out how to cut and paste, it doesn't seem to work as easily as Audacity in this matter. I try to highlight the part I want to get rid of, then delete, and it goes away but there will remain a grey part which is just a silence and I don't know how to delete that whole part. I'm not fond of the idea of downloading Audacity again just to edit tunes with it. Does anyone know how to do it? There is a little scissor button but it's not active even when I have highlighted a part.
I haven't played much mandolin lately so I'm very late with my recordings. I found a fiddle instructor in August and I'm greatly motivated with the fiddle and play that mostly...maybe I should start recording with the fiddle soon too. Anyway, I've recorded Whiskey before breakfast and I play to record East Tennessee blues as well, I'll let you know when I have them ready.
