Old Wave #243

Played with the Duke City Swampcoolers at the Weed NM (pop. 20!) festival saturday, Simple Gifts played after us, their mandolin player really cut thru the peavey mix in the 1950's school auditorium.
Turned out to be Ron Hicks playing his oldwave F5, #243, which I hadn't seen since it left the incubator 10 years ago. He just laughed when I offered to buy it from him for $50 more than he paid for it! Nice to visit children and see how they mature. Shot of me with 243, him with 476.
Forgot to pack the beanie with the fake grey/white dreads......

Sounds like a fun deal, Bill. I've been to Weed. Wish I was there so I could go fishing on the Penasco at Charlie Mulcock's place up close to Elk. Great fishing by day and mandolin music by night. That'd be cool.

One of my all time favorites is Spruce's virzi bolo, thought I saw a Mike Black virzibolo pic here earlier....
