I took my niece to a long awaited Dixie Chicks concert Sunday night in Detroit. James Taylor opened for them. With a special guest appearance by Neil Young. (Did 2 of his songs and another with James Taylor.) Needless to say it was a very good concert. The backing musician's for Taylor and the Chicks were excellent. A very good Mandolin player, a keyboard player, bass player, a rhythm guitarist, drummer and a lead guitar. All had tremendous talent, complimented each other greatly.

Anyone see this concert? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/coffee.gif

Brent Truitt on the mandolin and Robby Turner on the steel. Both GREAT players and great guys. A couple of Nashville's best. I'm NOT a fan of the chick's, but I am a fan of the band.

Cool, Brent also has a very nice studio- I was over tracking on Jack's Loar at Brent's about a month ago. Brent has a very nice Charlie D master model, also a Gilchrist floating around somewhere.

Hey Flatpick,
I'm in the Detroit area too. Do you play out at all? I'd like to hear you play.
