O.K. it's been previously posted, but remains my only Gibson, about one year newer than my father (still doing just fine, the both of them). Taken about two months ago or so. . .

Dad looks great fatt-dad. He's definitely your dad. Do you think living near the beach helps keep him in great condition? I feel healthier when I'm at the beach.

Here's my 1920 A, which is off at the Old Town Pickin' Parlor so Edward can give it a fret job. Not pictured: an Adam Steffey F-5 and a 1950 F-12.

My father has three secrets to good health: Eat pickled herring, go to church and keep breathing. He does not live near the beach (never did). He was a "Beltway Bandit" (I grew up inside the Beltway) and walked a mile each day to the bus (pre-subway) for his job downtown (D.C.). He now lives in Madera, California with my step-mom. For myself, living in Richmond, Virginia we do get to the beach and every year await our week on Hatteras Island, where I don't take my Gibson, but do take my beach mandolin. I recently sent him my Hondo so he can learn to play - never too old, eh?

Thanks, Dave. It is in very nice condition. As far as I know, everything is original except the case, which is period-correct but not original.
