Hey everyone! Dan delivered my new Voight this weekend. Thought I'd throw up some pics.

Red spruce, James tailpiece, Waverly's, compound radius (five stars on the radius).

How does it sound? I've owned 3 excellent $10K+ mandolins, and this mandolin is in their league. Fit-and-finish-wise... I just shake my head! :disbelief:

Hope you enjoy!

WOW. I hope my no. 9 looks at least half as good. That's incredibly clean.

My bud and builder Grady told me at Charlotte how beautiful Dan's work was, and that he was a real artist. He was right. Good work Dan,thumbs way up!

I don't think I've ever seen a ninth mandolin look that perfect. Looks more like the hundredth.

Stunning! I can't wait to get mine. I believe I'm reserved for Voight #15... I wonder how long that is in mandolin years?

Congratulations to both Emonortem and to Dan!

Thought I would bring these photos of #9's back over here from mandolins in progress for completeness' sake.

This mando is different from my #7 in that it uses Gilchrist's finishing technique, which Steve taught Dan at last year's Mandolin Symposium. I think the improvement speaks for itself.
