The band that I'm in, The Flatland Ramblers, performed at the Sheep & Wool Festival in Adel, Iowa, on June 13, 2010. A friend was there, and discovered she could take video with her camera, and managed to catch a part of our performance of this tune, Midnight on the Water.

Jeanne Witt on flute, Barbara Shultz on mandolin (my Collings MT2O), Scott Ross on his Petersen cittern, and Donna Ritchie on her Martin guitar.

Thanks for posting this, Barbara. Midnight on the Water is a very popular tune in my area also. It is always interesting to hear the variations on the melody in different areas. Also, I'm generally not fond of the sound of bouzoukis, and that cittern is cool.

I like Barbara's YouTube channel...nice easy, confident and flowing style of playing. Not rushed which is refreshing!!!!!
She got me going with Tarbolton Reel especially Great tune (happens also that I have an MT-O, so I relate right away).
