Mandolin(e) Cafe headquarters?

This coffee shop just opened up in the Western Auto Lofts on Grand Ave in midtown Kansas City, MO. I walked in today wearing my Mandolin Cafe cap and the owner thought that was very cool. There were no mandolin players, no discussions, music uploads or builders sharing secrets. In other words, it ain't the "Mandolin Cafe", but I did enjoy an iced coffee on a warm day.

In Tacoma, WA, the original home of Wintergrass, you'll find: http://www.themandolincafe.com/ An eclectic lot of music to be heard there, and popular with some of the college crowd.

Well, how about that? Wonder why they went with that? :confused: Wonder if they'd be open to having a concession stand for ball caps and mugs ... :whistling:

The Tacoma place redid their website a few months ago and it no longer displays the sheet metal sculpture of a mandolinist. :( Hope it's still there. :)
