Charlie Derrington Mandolins

Didn't Charlie Derrington buid some mandolins under his own name? This was while he was working at " Bellview" music. What became of these mandolins? Anyone know about these?

I saw him scraping the binding on one at a bluegrass festival. He was selling Gibson F5Ls at a booth at the festival I was at in Jimmison, Alabama in about 1990 give or take a few years.

I met a guy that had Charlie Derrington's "Charlie Derrington". I think it was just a "Charlie Derrington" and not a Gibson but I'm not sure.
