Hello Mandolin Cafe this is my first post. My name is Frank, im 14 and i have been playing mandolin for about a month. I got this native built mandolin for free. It was built here in charlotte,north carolina. Here are some pics of it i took with my Canon 20D and 50mmf/1.8 lens combo.

Hi Frank - welcome to the world of mando picking! Nice looking pancake. Free is always good! That one looks kind of like a mid mo/flatiron hybrid. What kind of wood is that on the back?

Honestly I have no clue. The mandolin is way louder than most acoustic guitars. I go to a performing arts school and nobody has seen anything like it
