I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy. Seriously, Tennessee Blues is one of my, if not my favorite mandolin song and you have great arrangement. The gospel tune is very good too. Thanks for the thread.

Great job , it remind me the Rice/Grisman Tone Poems , especially the tune "Just a Closer Walk"

U da man.

Dunno about that Alan..just scraping the surface nowadays.

The thumb has been an on going problem for about a year now. The last shot I got was last August so it lasted almost a year.

This recording was actually done with a little trio Ive been having fun with for almost 30 yrs called the String Fellers. Its myself on mando, either Paul North or Jeff "Jilesy" Soward on bass and my favorite guitar player of all time Mr. Bill Trubee who plays an all origional 56 Martin 0028 which he pulls such great tone from. These guys really inspire me. Its ironic that after all these yrs we have found ourselves w/o jobs..either by retirement or layoff...so we manage to get together more. Weve been playing fairs..weddings..goat ropings...whatever. We have alot of fun. I may be able to come up with some more tunes to post. Thanks

I agree with French Guy...the first piece really does have that Tone Poems quality...nice job!

So...the techie in me has to ask: I assume you're playing that Clark F5? What strings are you running on it? Has that nice smooth sound that I really love.

Let's hear more.

Cheers, Benski

The only string I have used since 1985 Gibson Monel Wounds strung up on my fabulous Clark F5...they are Gibson Sam Bush strings. I have switched the .14 A's to the .15 here recently though. Thanks for the compliment.

Great picking and arrangement Scotty. Your Clark and Mr. Trubee's Martin couldn't sound much sweeter, you both know how to pull the tone out of them. I hope your hand allows you many more years of what you love.

Thanks Hank..we hope to do some more recording soon. In fact we were supposed to be in the studio yesterday but the owner was having new flooring laid and the job was running behind.
