Three vintage National Silvo electrics at once is not something you see every day, especially when one of them is a tenor guitar. I'm actually breaking this trio up and sending one of these to Chief (I don't need both mandolins), but first I thought a little documentation was in order.

Very nice Martin. That tenor is very cool, any idea how many were made?

Correct me if I am mistaken, Martin, was the Silvo assembly also available as a separate installation into a std acoustic instrument?

This is the only Silvo tenor I have ever seen. Joe Craven tells me he has seen another one, but would you believe everything you hear from a guy who thinks a bundt cake pan and a wastebasket are musical instruments?

There was in fact a retrofit version of this pickup attachment, but it was a plain black Bakelite plate. Didn't have the art-deco design on it.

There are a few Silvo lap steels about. If I could get me one of them I'd have a nice trifecta. The fact that I can't play lap steel is beside the point. Maybe Joe Craven could teach me.
