Here are two mandolins that I inherited from my uncle and my wife's father. Once is a Gibson, not sure of the year model and the other has ViVi on the instrument but I am not sure who manufactured the mandolin.

Is anyone familiar with the manufacture of the ViVi?

I believe the Vivi is an imported copy of a Harmony Batwing model. They were brought in in the 70's or so. The Gibson can be identified from some of it's features and the serial number inside it. The shrinking tuner buttons place it in a specific time period as well. Is there a serial number inside? If not look though the F holes with a flashlight towards the neck of the instrument and see if you can see a number stamped there.

Other wise, post some close up pictures of the headstock front and back.
