someone with more knowledge can correct me if i'm wrong but i believe it means 07(2007) 7/25(july 25th) and 019(19th signed that day) i'm 99% sure. hope this helps.

It should be the last and first number for the year. Therefore, your mandolin would be a 1997. Built on July 25, and the first one completed that day. That is all the serial number can tell you. The F5 is the body size and style and the V usually indicates a varnish, which during this period would likely have been a spirit varnish. Hope this helps.

Ok according to my F-5 Jam-Master my serial # is derived this way which I thought was the same as the original poster. My # is 90512050 which is it was made in 2009, on May 12th, and was number 50 signed that day. Someone I kew last year went to one of the mandolin camps, and spoke to Mr. Dave Harvey about my mandolin, him also having the info from where I purchased it, and I was told that Mr. Harvey said that mine was actually the 5th one made in that line So thats the reason thought the op was correct.

Ok now I see why Mr. Harvey said mine was # 5 in the series. 90512050= "09....May 12.....5th one signed that day. Thanks I've been reading it wrong, now I know.
