heh NICE!

I have alot of local luthier friends, they won't allow me to make a curly purpleheart F-5. ;)

That is pretty.

I know this is an old thread, but I had to re-visit it and make a few comments... #

My wife and I actually visted Ken & Laura when he was in the process of crafting this particular and unique instrument for his client. #He showed us several pieces of wood with varying shades of purple stain - trying to 'get just the right color blend' for the client's exact desires. #(If I recall correctly, a gentleman in Texas commissioned Ken to build this for his wife, and I believe it was presented to her at Ken's booth at IBMA 2004. #I was at IBMA that year, but missed the actual delivery! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif ) #

Anyway - as with (very recently) the 'Tequilia Sunrise' Silver Angel Dano received just before Christmas

- working with Ken (and/or Laura) is a real treat. #Not that there aren't a number of very friendly and accommodating luthiers out in the world, but Ken and Laura will work with you every step of the way to get the custom instrument you want, at a fair price, great quality, and exceptional tone. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif #
(Even PURPLE!)
