As a neophyte Gibson enthusiast I would like to know the difference between the Gibson A0, A1, A2, A3 & A4 models. Is it just the appointments that make them different from one another or is it something more, bracing, etc.
I look forward to enhancing my Mandolin Knowledge.
Thank in advance for any/all replies!

The 'A Jr', is trimless , and then binding details and soundhole lining are added , purfling rings and such .. as the price/model in catalog goes up..

Bracing seems to be same short cross brace on all .. wood selected on the top of my A4 is narrower grain than the plain brown 'A'.

Much more Lore in the prior post filled Archives .. so no need to wait for new responses .. look forward by looking back.

Type in "Gibson A Model Guide" on the Cafe GO space, and you should be directed to Dan Beimborn's very helpful pages describing Gibson A mandolins.
