Does anyone know of a shop in or around San Francisco that sells bowlback mandolins? I'm looking to get more of an authentic sound, and having a heck of a time trying to track a decent one down....
Any help is appreciated.

You might check with Nicola and Achille Bocus ( http://mandolinserenade.com/instr.html) of the San Francisco Mandolin Orchestra. They would have a good idea if anyone would.
Eric Schoenberg (http://www.om28.com/stock.htm#Anchor-44867) in Tiburon (Marin County) has a bowlback or two, as does Players Vintage Instruments (http://www.vintageinstruments.com/mandolins.html).
