So great to hear new music from Paulo. He is really on the cutting edge of what is happening with Brazilian Choro, and specifically with the mandolin in Brazil. This is a real extension from what he was doing with the more classical sounding Rio Trio, with a great Brazilian groove, incorporating a wide swath of genres, mixing in some electric instruments, but still solidly based in the choro and samba sound. Very cool!!
