Here's a 1927/1928 TG-L5 (the 4 string tenor version of the L5) I met the other day. Gorgeous tone and very easy playing on that nice 4-string neck.

The rest of the pictures are at the archive record for 86138 (http://www.mandolinarchive.com/perl/show_mando.pl?3934)

L5 85296 (http://www.mandolinarchive.com/perl/show_mando.pl?3933) is a more typical example, again really fantastic tone but the normal 6-string setup. Note also that this example gets the Master Model label, the TG-L5 has a "Guaranteed" label

What beautiful backs they have on them! wow! I have a 1953 Martin Tenor guitar that looks like an ugly duckling compared to those! LOL! :mandosmiley:

Jim- if "pretty" & "sounds good" were always 100% linked, we could all choose 'em just from pictures :)
