Thanks Bill, however these two have been at the farm for many a year now. I just snapped a photo the other day and thought I would share it.

2 questions:

What are the differences in how they sound and play?

What is the rest of the mando in the front/left? (Monte, Dawg..?)

beautiful ... complimenti. "no accounting for taste" as they say, but for me - when seen side by side like this - the elegant, tapered tuning platform is much more in keeping with the rest of the design than the splayed, flathead version.

(purely personal aesthetics - no offense intended ... but in general, i'd always thought the "canoe paddle" to be not so much an ugly duckling as it is a baby huey.)

The snake is very focused and punchy and with its thin neck it plays fast or should I say wants to be played fast. the 29 AO on the other hand is magic, its open, full and the notes just fill the room so sweet it'll make a grown man cry. But both have their place.;)

the other is a my DAWG .
