I much prefer it with the black pickguard - that's class looking that!

Love that body, is it ash? Curious why you went from 2 single coil pups and 3 way switcharoo to single?

Think it's ash !
Bridge pickup a bit harsh. I'm all for simplicity myself, if there's only one p/up you just get on with playing instead of fiddling with settings !

Looks really nice! I'm waiting for the new JBovier electrics to arrive at TAMCO, so I can give them a try. :)

Me too - that's a proper looker that one! Coincidentally, I think someone in another thread was recently asking if anyone was making SG shaped emandos..

That xplorer mando is just beautiful.

Heres my new Almuse. Not only a fine instrument but Pete is a class act to deal with. Ran it through both of these amps along with an Orange AD30 but find that the Vox compliments this instrument the best. The neck is very comfortable and was set up perfectly. I cant wait to gig with it.

Nice mando bevb. The neck p'up in my Eastwood was the one that was harshest. I kept a pup there although I did replace. I'm still trying to learn how to get the best sound out of it. I doubt that I will ever be completely satisfied though. I love the mods that you did. The three way switch on mine has been moved back a little but it still gets in my way when picking. You solved that problem with yours.

Great looking mando, that! Love the whole classic electric guitar 'translated' to mandolin. Bostin SG, too. Spot on.

A bit of hacking with a router and a fresh scratchplate would solve that!

This one is my most beastly to date - two 4 wire humbuckers each with coil taps and a 4 position switch. The 4 way switch is a popular Telecaster mod that enables both pickups in series in the last position .......WALLOP!!!!!!!!!http://www.thewuffler.f9.co.uk/telebeast.JPG
