I am trying to Identify My Grandfathers Mandolin. Any help would be appreciated. vorp1@wowway.com

I'm totally guessing it's a Lyon and Healy mandolin based on the L H C stamp on your clown shoe case. Jim Garber will likely know the manufacturer and may even have a catalogue page to verify it with.

I'd like to confirm the Lyon & Healy heritage. This looks just like fancy-pants Washburns from the time... which would be c.1900 or so.

If you don't want to play it...I'd make a wall hanger out of it, if it belonged to my grandpa. It's sentimental value is worth way more than maybe the $1-2 hundred you'll get for it.
