Hello!

Now, I'm going to need to change my strings eventually, but I have no clue if I should change to .010 or .011

Would it make a big difference? Could 0.011 mess up intonation or possibly damage the mandolin if it used to have 0.010?

My mandolin is an Ibanez M510BS. Factory strings are still on it.

Thanks!

The answer to your questions is no, it won't damage your mando or change the intonation. I would start by putting a set of D'Addario J74s on and see how you like them.

There is lots of info on strings here if you search the archives.

Good, then that's all I need to know. Thanks.

I had J74s on my old mandolin. It sadly broke after being dropped in the floor though.
