Look who showed up Thursday in a snowstorm, and who sadly has to leave for its next stop on Monday. (A September 2009 Lawrence Smart fan fret 10 string, in case you don't recognize it.) It's not nearly as orange as the photos show (sorry Lawrence), much more of a subtle brownish orange. About 1 1/2" at the nut, it's a handful to play. It's very even across the string--works great as a mandolin and a mandola. Strong C and strong E and everything inbetween. All you mandolin players in Pine Hill who want to give it a try before Monday, let me know. You might pry it out of my hands, and then again, you may not. :grin:
