Very nice work Dave. I love the contrasting back on #1, as well as your beautiful rosettes on both mandolins. What types of wood did you use?

Well if it was a challenge, the end result shows your talent (especially for being some of your first builds). I noticed your second build has a compensated bridge and the first didn't, any reason?

How's the weather in Nova Scotia this time of year? I have to drive (from New Hampshire) up to a town near Milton NS to drop off some juvenile fish at a fish hatchery up that way, just curious.

Very nice! Just out of curiosity, how does building mandolins compare to building banjos? Is it similar or a completely different animal?

there is one word to say about banjos"Hardware" try this, change that,it
go's on forever. I wanted to build something with more wood less metal
only options tailpiece and tuners? less money outlay at the start.
I do not play mandolin well and while I am building them I'll get more
practice in?
