I hope they're coming my way! Grier was just out here though, and I was lucky enough to catch him solo at a house concert. Great stuff.

I've seen David Grier in action at the Roanoke Bluegrass Weekend and he is an amazing guitar player. Teamed up with Mike man it's gonna be one heck of a show. I wish I could see it! :mandosmiley:

I was at the St. Paul gig - what a great show (for about 60 people. ..)! I'll see Compton anytime/anyplace now, and would love to see Grier on his own. Since I picked up the instrument (2 yrs ago) I've had a goal of seeing each of the masters at least once, and so far, have seen Compton, Marshall, Ostroushko and Statman. Grisman will be here in December with John Sebastian, I think, so I'm making pretty good progress.

The Redstone Room show in Davenport, Iowa was fantastic. I would estimate 120-150 people, and everyone seemed to be having a ball. Compton and Grier were really on their game, and their selection of material was a whole lot of fun.
