Forgive me if I asked this before, ..........I'm getting old........but are there classical pieces that have been re-written with Tabs?

I'd like to explore this avenue, and have no resources yet.

Soup, seriously, get ahold of Standard Notation for the Tab-Addicted Mandolinist (http://www.elderly.com/books/items/687-1.htm) and don't look back. You'll never need a tab again.

Here's one:
J. S. Bach for Mandolin
By J. S. Bach and Robert Bancalari. For Mandolin. Solos. Baroque. Intermediate. Book/CD Set. 104 pages. Published by Mel Bay Publications, Inc (MB.95770BCD).

Music and Tab. Lots of nice pieces, some not so hard.

Soupy-a couple of more that I have, all purchased from Mel Bay

Baroque Music for Mandolin-Robert Bancalari

Mandolin Classics in Tab-same authore

Traditional Southern Italian Mandolin and Fiddle Tunes-John LaBarbera

Those with the Bach should keep you going until you struggle through sight reading like I have been for the past few months! I second the recommendation for Standard Notation for the Tab addicted. Frustrating at first but eventually you get it

I like Bancalari's Bach book a lot. There's a very good range between relatively easy and challenging. All sound good on a mandolin (or I imagine it would once I can play it).

Soupy.....you might find something to work on here (http://www.mandozine.com/music/search_results.php?row=0&searchfor=&tuneselectby=C&mandolevel=&category=EarlyandClassical&songkey=&artist=&transcriber=&sortby=T&sortorder=A&submit=) until your book comes in.
