Hey, just heard from some Jazz Manouche friends that John Jorgenson and Raul Reynoso will be perorming a FREE concert at the Culver City Hall Courtyard TONIGHT at 7. Seating is first come first served, so if you beat me there you better SAVE ME A SEAT!

More info here. (http://www.culvercitymusic.org)

I've never seen any of the Hellecasters play, and the last time I caught Raul and the Rhythm Brothers was years ago in Disneyland.. I'm leaving work early!

Sorry for the late notice, but thought any LA area mandolistas might be interested. I wonder if Jorgenson's Djangolin will make an appearance?

[edit] Just noticed Evan Marshall is next week too!

Caught Jorgenson at a private party in Nashville during the Summer NAMM show, and he delighted us with two sets of his Gypsy Jazz stuff. (Scott T & some other ne'r-do-wells were there in the audience, too.)
Advice: wear a chin strap, because your jaw is going to hit the floor.
John is brilliant, and not only is his playing polished and professional, he's got the Django thing DOWN!
