Open the Cafe in one window or tab. Open the link you want us to see/ go to in another window or tab. Select all of the destination link and copy (Ctrl+C) or right click copy. Then in the Café compose your message. Highlight the word(s) you want as the clickable link. Then press the little world with chain button and paste in the destination link you copied in earlier by right click Paste or Ctrl+V. then push OK and close that dialog.

OR... Click the world button paste or type in the link and click OK to close the window then immediately type the words you want to be clickable in the resulting HTML code. This was recently covered in this thread (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53163)with good instructions too.

Like this (http://themandolinhut.com/johnson_savannah_mandolin.htm)?

1) I copied the URL from your post
2) I wrote "Like this?" (without the quotes) on this post
3) I selected (highlighted) the word "this"
4) With that word still highlighted, I clicked on the blue planet icon
5) I pasted the Arches URL into the box, making sure to copy over the "http://" that comes up as a default. When I was done pasting, it said "http://www.archesmusic.com/" in the box.
6) Clicked OK
7) Done.

If you are doing it like this and it still isn't working, you might have some weird setting that blocks HTML, but I doubt it. I've never heard of that.

I realized after I posted that that I used Arches toxic site as an example. I went back in and changed it to a different link.

Agreed Lee.....I was trying to be of assistance and that's what caused me to reach out for assistance with my problem. At the time, I didn't believe that the Arches Website would be toxic, so I moved forward with that website as an example. My bad :(

Thank you again :)

No big deal-- I doubt if anyone will click on it anyway. I'm on a big network with tons of firewalls and virus stuff, and it didn't alert me that anything bad was going on. But when I saw the Arches site was moving content from "microsotf.cn", I knew it was infected.

Hi All,

The archesmusic.com website has been cleaned and is back up. I apologize for the trouble.
